The Last Day of 2011

Good morning everyone! I can't believe that the year will be over tonight! This is crazy! 2011 just seems like a huge blur to me. Eric says it is because I was pregnant for most of it! HAHA! Well I do have to say that we have so much to be thankful for! Of course for our wonderful baby boy, Liam! We couldn't have asked for a better child, whom rarely cries or whines and is ALWAYS smiling! Every where we go we always get the comment, "He is the best baby I have ever seen!" That of course makes a momma proud! I am thankful for my little family...which I am hoping in the future will be expanding! I am thankful that both Eric and I have good jobs that do what they are supposed to do, pay the bills and provide for the family. We are thankful for our families, that go above and beyond for us, watch Liam, and shower him with love and gifts! I pray that 2012 can be just as great or even greater!

May everyone have a safe and FUN last day of 2011! And my God bless 2012 for all of us! Happy New Year my blogger friends may new and exciting things come your way!

It's almost 2012

Well Christmas was amazing! We had so much fun experiencing Liam's first Christmas! We just want to thank everyone for all of the awesome gifts that Liam received! We are so blessed! There are so many things to look forward to in 2012! I will leave you with some pictures of our Christmas, and I will be blogging again tomorrow for the last time this year!!! YAY!

It's Sunday again!

Well here we are again...Hello Sunday! I have to say that this Sunday seems to be going a bit better! First of all it is really pretty outside and second Liam is in a great mood! Let me start by showing you the pictures I promised of Liam trying out peas for the first time...

 Alright...he is unsuspecting
 Umm...Not sure about this mommy
 What is this crazy stuff?
Enter gag reflux...So I guess we can all assume he hated it!

What an experience it was trying out peas! I did however try it again the next day, he still hated it but it wasn't quite as dramatic as the first time.

I took some pictures of Liam this morning for what I was hoping would be a successful 6 months shoot, but I was too pleased with the outcome and feel that I can do a little better. Plus, Brody wasn't listening too well to me: Here is a picture to prove it!

Brody has been extra needy and jealous lately. I try to give him extra snuggle time, but that is still not working! I don't really know what to do. Maybe he is just going through a little phase, or he is coming to the realization that this kid isn't going anywhere! HAHA!

Well as usual there is a lot to do today and Liam is now starting to get fussy...time for a nap I presume! Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday! I will be blogging again soon!

What a week it has been!

Yay Liam is officially 6 months old! We went to the doctor yesterday and received the green light to go ahead with all veggies and fruits. So with that said we decided to try out some peas last night! Now keep in mind he is already in love with sweet potatoes, so I guess we were feeling optimistic that he would just love anything that we put in front of him. Well, the peas did not go so well! I will definitely be posting some pictures of our veggie failure! He hated them...and when I say hated I mean gag reflux and all!!!!

He is still in the 50th percentile weighing in at 17 lbs 9 oz and 26 1/2 inches tall! We've been told to start our baby proofing because he will be on the move soon! AHHHH! I am not sure that I am ready to be chasing a curious little boy around, but I guess that I don't have a choice now do I?

Our Christmas present was delivered yesterday and we just can not get enough of it! Haha, the suspense right! Well I will have to get it all pretty before I take some pictures to post!

HMMM....what else, what else? This week has been somewhat crazy with the delivery of the gift, Liam turning 6 months, his doctors appointment where he received 5 shots which included his flu shot, and then the thought of baby proofing an apartment that is still staged for college students! We have our hands full!! Not to mention of course work is in there somewhere and Eric has been studying and taking finals! I am so proud of him! He will hopefully be graduated this time next year depending on summer classes. Everyone cross their fingers that he gets the classes that he needs over the summer! It would be so disappointing for him if he were one class shy of graduating in the fall because they didn't offer the class in the summer!

Alright, well I have laundry to fold and bottles to clean all before work tonight so I better get off of this computer! I will leave you with some entertaining photos of our little monkey enjoying his dinner of sweet potatoes!

Sunday's

I guess I have the Sunday blues....I don't particularly like Sunday's and I don't know why. I guess it is because it can either be the end of a week or the beginning of a new one, the day is a little confusing. I don't know whether to wrap up my week or to start preparing for a new one...lol...any who, I am feeling a little under the weather today. I am sure it is because of the change in the weather; I caught a cold not that big of a deal, except I really don't want to get Liam sick. I mean I have made it this far, almost 6 months, without a single runny nose on the little man, so I don't want to start now.

I guess if this were the beginning of the week I would start by saying: This week marks 6 months since my little monkey arrived!!!! Also, the Christmas present that Eric and I decided on will be here Thursday! (I am really excited about it and you can bet I will be posting pictures) There are only 21 days left until Christmas and I am feeling super stressed about gifts this year! I apologize in advance to our family if they do not like or didn't expect homemade gifts but that is about all we can manage this year lol...sorry! Christmas is about spending time with the ones you love and celebrating the birth of Christ, so I am trying to focus on that instead of feeling guilty for not being able to buy people gifts this year.

If this were considered the end of the week I would say: Wow, that felt like it went by fast! Came back into town, went to work, and then the week was over! I will say that watching Liam roll over for the first time was amazing! And then last night, for a second or two, Liam got up on his knees!!! Yeah, we know, we are in trouble if he starts crawling this early haha! Hopefully he was just doing it to scare us!!

Well, I am off to get some rest in hopes I feel a little better so maybe this week will be great!

Welcome December!

It is already December! Where has the year gone? Liam will be 6 months in just a few days...cannot believe it...so you know that I will be posting those pictures soon! We fed him sweet potatoes for the first time last night and he seemed to really enjoy them!

I ordered my Christmas cards this morning and I can't wait to see them and mail them out! Here is the picture we chose to use:

We are really happy with the Christmas pictures we took of Liam! He is so photogenic!
There is not too much going on right now...I have just been on a cleaning and organizing spree lately, which I guess isn't bad, but I feel like it will never end. Everywhere I turn there is something else to clean. I feel like it wouldn't be so bad if I weren't working so much, but it is what it is!

Eric just made a batch of Liam's laundry detergent with a johnson's baby lotion soap bar...I am really curious how it will turn out and how wonderful Liam's clothes will smell, not to mention how much money we will be saving! We already make our own laundry detergent, I just didn't think it would be possible to make some for a baby! Thank goodness Eric thought of a baby soap bar! Now to start experimenting with our own fabric softener!

So I was pinteresting the other day and came across this great idea about crock pot meals. What you do is you get all of the ingredients together and vacuum seal them all together with the instructions written on the front and then pop it in the freezer! If you do that for a week of meals or even a month and just pull it out and stick it in the crock pot when needed, how easy would life feel? That would be one less thing I would have to stress about! I am seriously considering trying this out! I will let you know how it works out.

Alright, back to cleaning and organizing I go....I will leave you with a family photo from our trip for Thanksgiving!
